About Hotech Instruments

Safeguarding every moment in medicine and research with core temperature-control technology — developing, manufacturing and serving for four decades.

Our Story

In the late 1970s, Taiwan's medical and life-science research was booming, but imported equipment was costly with poor after-sales support, while local products struggled to meet demand. Drawing on years of medical-device trade experience, our founder established Hotech in 1978 to develop instruments matching the quality of advanced nations.

In 1981 we developed shakers and shaking water baths in response to national biotech policy, earning support from the National Science Council. At the 1989 Hannover Biotechnology Fair our shakers were highly praised by European and American firms, and we were invited by Switzerland's Kühner to tour their advanced processes.

During the 2003 SARS outbreak, we rapidly designed and produced 40 temperature standard sources for infrared thermal imagers in public venues, ensuring the accuracy of non-contact temperature measurement.

In 2008, as blood banks' demand for thawing, warming and storage grew, we adopted the medical-device Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 13485, leveraging our core temperature-control technology to deliver high-quality medical devices with complete after-sales service.
